LG’s New Limited Edition Smartphone Is Ridiculously Expensive

LG launched its Signature Edition series last year. The model was a modified version of the V30 with additional touches such as greater internal storage and a ceramic back. Since there is now a successor to the LG V30, the company has launched a successor to the first Signature Edition. Much like its predecessor, the Signature Edition 2018 will only be produced in limited numbers and will cost a pretty penny.

The design of this device is similar to that of the LG V35 but it does have a zirconium ceramic back which is more durable and scratch resistant. The model is offered in black and white colors unlike its predecessor which was only available in one color option.

The LG Signature Edition features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. It also features a Quad-DAC and a 6 inch QHD+ OLED display. The 16 megapixel dual rear camera setup also offers LG’s AI camera features.

LG has priced this handset the equivalent of almost $1,800 USD in South Korea. It does offer some additional goodies with the device which include a pair of over-ear headphones from B&O which cost around $500 on their own. Customers who purchase this device get an after-sales personal assistant and can even have their name engraved on it. LG will only be selling 300 units of the Signature Edition 2018.
