While getting into a beta always seems exciting because it means that you get to use apps and features that others can’t, there is a downside which is that betas aren’t meant to be used as daily drivers. This means that you should approach betas with the understanding that the app might not work the way you hope it would.
Such is the case with the latest Google app beta for Android, where the app has since been pulled by Google due to multiple reports of users claiming that the app keeps crashing on them. It is unclear as to what the problem might be, but Google has pulled the update for the beta for the time being.
If you are taking part in the beta, the version that is reportedly crashing on users is v8.14.12. As Android Police notes, when Google pulled the update they also updated the Play Store where the version being distributed is v8.12.20.21, so if you uninstall and reinstall the older build you should be fine.
Once again we should point out that this is for the beta of the Google app for Android. Those using the public release of the Google app should not be running into the same issues, or if you are experiencing crashes there is a chance that they might not be related.
