We know that Fortnite has been enjoying a lot of success since its release on iOS. Last we heard, the game managed to make $100 million to date and is reported to be earning as much as $2 million a day. It also seems that the game is in no danger of slowing down, according to the latest figures by Apptopia (via VentureBeat).
According to the data that they have gathered, it seems that Fortnite on iOS has managed to cross the 100 million download mark, and that to date it has managed to make $160 million from in-app purchases from the iOS version of the game alone. So far we have heard that the game has managed to pull in a combined total of $1 billion, meaning that the iOS version accounts for a little over 10% of how much the game made.
This is especially impressive considering that the game was only released on iOS earlier this year. That being said, it seems that the game took a little longer than the competition to hit 100 million downloads. Based on Apptopia’s data, Super Mario Run is still the fastest game at 68 days to 100 million, followed by Pokemon GO which took 71 days. Fortnite took 138 days while PUBG took more than double at 344 days.
Fortnite has yet to be released on Android and we heard that it could be launched as a temporary exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. We’ve also heard the rumors that it could be launched by bypassing the Google Play Store.
