If you’re an avid user of Instagram’s Stories feature, you’ll be pleased to learn that Instagram has updated it with a new feature that will make it more exciting. What feature, you ask? According to Instagram’s blog, they have announced that users will now be able to add music to their Stories.
According to Instagram, “When you tap to add a sticker to a photo or video in Stories, you’ll now see a music icon. Tap on it to open a library of thousands of songs — you can search for a specific song, browse by mood, genre or what’s popular and tap the play button to hear a preview. When you’ve selected your song, you can fast-forward and rewind through the track to choose the exact part that fits your story.”
If this sounds familiar, it is because back in May it was already hinted that users could soon add music to their Stories, and we guess that feature is finally here. Presumably all these songs have been licensed by Instagram from their respective labels and publishers, which also means that if you wanted to use a song of your own that isn’t in the library, that will not be possible for now.
However as Instagram claims that there will be thousands of songs to choose from, presumably you should be able to find something that will suit your Story.
