A major firmware update is always welcomed by Android users but it can often cause more problems than it fixes. That appears to be the case for some Galaxy A3 (2017) owners who are reporting that their devices have been facing reboots and bootloops after the Oreo update was released. Users have taken to online forums to complain about the issues that the Oreo update has caused.
One user claimed that their Galaxy A3 (2017) keeps restarting over and over again with the battery draining out in less than four hours. They also complained about constant freezing and a factory reset didn’t do much to fix the issue.
Some users have claimed that their Galaxy A3 (2017) on Oreo reboots after they connect to specific Wi-Fi networks such as Eduroam in Europe. Samsung is yet to acknowledge the problem officially but moderators on its official forums have started collecting details. It hasn’t confirmed if a fix is being developed.
It’s unclear at this point in time what’s causing these issues and how soon Samsung will be come out with a fix for them. Galaxy A3 (2017) owners who are facing these issues will no doubt be hoping that Samsung is more forthcoming with information about how it’s planning to tackle these issues.
